Hororata night glow

This is a very very belated post, but while I’ve got some time and I’m catching up on things I’ll put it up! Basically a while back we went to the Hororata night glow! Its one of the 2 main events that happen in the town over the course of a year. It was a slight rainy day and we were a bit worried and actually nearly didn’t go. But in the end we headed down and met up with some friends! The balloons are cool! Don’t get me wrong my only slight disappointment was that they didn’t go in the air, they just glowed on the floor. They were pretty nice though but they didn’t take off!

We enjoyed some pizza and it was a great way to get the Hororata gang together for a few beers on a week night! Overall it was good but not great we’ll probably head down again this year and take it all I. Once more!

24 hours back home!

So we did it we actually made it back to the uk after no idea how many planes! We were greeted at the airport by my mum and fan. And a big banner they made for us!

We went straight to the Chinese where I ordered all the duck and then went home and chatted loads before we aimed to get an early night!

I woke up at 2am and watched back to back episodes of Holby city waiting for the rest of the gang to get up! Once everyone was up we headed into Oxford to do some SHOPPING! I enjoyed spending lots of money and getting loads of new bits for our holiday in the morning! We obviously enjoyed a Nando’s and also a quick trip to the Alchemist for some well earned cocktails! After all this and some left over Chinese for dinner we went back to bed for a rest early flight tomorrow! When we head over to Mijas to see the Sandifords!

Day 2 in Tokyo!

Now I need to apologise for not posting any blogs in absolute ages! But we have been super busy since returning to work and the internet where we live is awful-like really awful (even worse than Wales awful) I’m currently sat in a casino waiting for the UFC to start and I’m going to take this opportunity to rattle off a few blog posts before I forget what’s been happening! So I’ll go back in time to Tokyo and start there……

On our second day we had booked he Robot cafe for the evening. This was something we went back and forwards on. Normally when we travel we like to stay away from the stereotypical touristy things but in the end we decided to do this one. We spent the day shopping and milling around just looking at all the cool stuff including the busiest pedestrian crossing!

In the evening we got dressed up and headed to the robot cafe! We got there early and we’re shown to a waiting area! Tokyo at night is so different, we were expecting mad but this was crazy. The place lights up at night and is completely transformed from what you see in the daytime.

The actual robot cafe light show was AMAZING! We were both shocked at how much we enjoyed it. It’s high paced bright the robots are great and the dancers blow you away! The drinks are overpriced but then you pay city tourist prices! And we don’t mind a bit of tourist tax when it’s that good! I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

After the show was done I was pretty drunk but we headed out for a bit more of a party after going in a few more nightclubs we met another British couple who told us about the arcade! We were dubious but they dragged us inside. This arcade was about 8 storeys of craziness and we had a blast. We all lost each other about 30 times as we worked our way around the different games and activities, it’s highly addictive and we all had a proper laugh and stopped for ages to watch how great the Japanese are at the dance mat! 💃

We had a great night and I the morning our heads were hurting bad! So we had a chilled morning before heading to the airport to catch our flight back home to the UK!
